Wheat Vermicelli Kheer

During my last visit to Indian grocery, i grabbed a packet of wheat vermicelli as i want to make some upma with it. Back home, none want to have upma, obviously i dropped the idea of making vermicelli upma, then this packet of wheat vermicelli was sitting in my pantry for a while. Finally i opted to make this wonderful looking kheer with those thin wheat vermicelli. Trust me, this kheer tastes extremely good and none can find any difference between the usual vermicelli kheer and this healthy wheat vermicelli. Served chilled or warm, this kheer makes an excellent dessert after a meal or as a sweet for special occasions.

Wheat Vermicelli Kheer

Vermicelli kheer are very easy to make, since this wheat vermicellis are very thin, this kheer gets ready within less minutes when compared to the usual one. Needless to say this kheer is definitely a kid's friendly dessert and my kids enjoyed thoroughly having this healthy kheer. I always like to add sweetened condensed milk in my kheers, the addition of condensed milk makes this simple kheer more delicious and creamy, in case if you dont have condensed milk, do go with more milk. This is my last post of this week's blogging marathon as i picked kid's delight- creamy foods as theme for this week. Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#52.
